Death sentence of two Kurdish prisoners carried out in Jiroft Central Prison

Two Kurdish prisoners, identified as Saman Fakhri and Asad Amini, were executed in Jiroft Central Prison, Kerman Province, after being convicted of drug-related charges.

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Thursday, December 26, 2024, the death sentences of Asad Amini, aged 27, from Sardasht, and Saman Fakhri, aged 33, from Baneh, were carried out in Jiroft Central Prison.

The two individuals were arrested in Jiroft in March 2022 and were jointly convicted by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran for drug-related charges.

To date, the news of the execution of these individuals has not been announced by state media or outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
