Seyed Taha Hosseini executed at Bukan Central Prison on murder charges

The death sentence of a Kurdish prisoner, Seyed Taha Hosseini, was carried out at Bukan Central Prison. He had previously been arrested and sentenced to death by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s judiciary on charges of “premeditated murder.”

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Monday, April 7, 2025, the death sentence of Seyed Taha Hosseini, a 23-year-old from Bukan, was carried out at the central prison in the city. He had committed the murder at the age of 18.

It is noteworthy that five years ago, He was arrested for charges “premeditated murder” of a man identified as Yaghoub Noureh and was subsequently sentenced to death by Iran’s judiciary.

According to informed sources, the victim, who was affiliated with Salafi groups and owned a pastry shop, had sexually assaulted and recorded videos of his apprentices in his store. Taha Hosseini was said to be one of his victims. Yaghoub Noureh had also served a two-year prison sentence in Urmia Central Prison for collaboration with ISIS.

An informed source told Hengaw: “The Hosseini family was unable to afford legal representation for their son due to financial hardship.”

To date, the news of this execution has not been reported by state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
