18 Kolbars and local tradesmen Killed and wounded in April 2021

Hengaw : At least 18 Kolbars and tradesmen were killed and wounded on the borders of Iranian Kurdistan in April 2021.

According to statistics recorded by the Statistics and Documentation Data Center of Hengaw Human Rights Organization of Hungary, during April 2021, at least 18 Kolbars  and tradesmen were killed and wounded on the borders of Iranian Kurdistan, 78% of whom were shot by direct fire from the Iranian armed forces.

According to this report, 2 Kolbars lost their lives and  16 Kolbars and tradesmen were injured.  It is worth mentioning that one of the Kolbars who lost his life under tortured by the Turkish Armed Forces.

Most of the victims were registered in the province of Kurdistan with 6 cases and all the killed ones were from the province of West Azerbaijan (Urmia).

 

Cause of death or injury:

Direct fire: 14 case (14 wounded) equivalent to 78% of the total cases.

Natural disasters: 1 case ( 1 killed) equivalent to 5.5 % of the total cases.

Beatings by the armed forces: 3 cases (1 killed and 2 wounded) equivalent to 16.5 % of the total cases.

 

Separation of victims by provinces:

West Azerbaijan Province (Urmia): 7 cases (2 killed and 5 wounded).

Kurdistan Province (Sanandaj): 9 cases included (9 injured).

Kermanshah province: 2 cases included (2 injured).
