The death sentences of Saleh Ghasemi, from Urmia, on charges of premeditated murder, and Mansour Abdizadeh, from Selmas, on drug-trafficking charges, were carried out in Urmia prison. Also on Thursday, another prisoner from Naghadeh named Jalal Sardarifar was executed.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Friday, March 10, 2023, the death sentences of Saleh Ghasemi, 53 years old, from the village of "Zindasht" in Urmia, and Mansour Abdizadeh from Selmas city were carried out in Urmia's central prison.

 At the same time, the death sentence of Saleh Ghasemi's son, who also had a case similar to his father's on the charge of premeditated murder, was suspended.

 Earlier in a report, Hengaw announced the execution of a Kurdish citizen from Naghadeh named Jalal Sardarifar in Urmia Central Prison on Thursday, March 9, 2023.
 
Three years ago, Jalal Sardarifar was arrested by Iranian government forces on charges of trafficking drugs and then sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

These three prisoners, along with two others, were transferred to the solitary cell of Urmia prison on Tuesday. There is no information about the fate of these two prisoners.

The news of the execution of these prisoners has not been announced in the Iranian state media or the media affiliated with the judiciary.

Based on the statistics registered in the Statistics and Documents Center of Hengaw, during the first two months of 2023, at least 33 Kurdish prisoners have been executed in Iranian prisons.
