The death sentence of an elderly prisoner named AbdulRahman Mozafari from Qorveh was executed in the central prison of Sanandaj. This prisoner was previously sentenced to death for the charge of "premeditation murder".
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Sunday, May 28, 2023, the death sentence of AbdulRahman Mozafari, 60, from Qorveh, was executed in the central prison of Sanandaj.
AbdulRahman Mozafari was arrested 16 years ago on the charge of premeditated murder and later sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic.
About three months ago, this prisoner was transferred from Dizelabad Kermanshah prison to Sanandaj Central Prison to execute the death sentence.
Based on the statistics registered in the Statistics and Documents Center of the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at least seven prisoners have been executed in Sanandaj Central Prison on the charge of premeditated murder since the beginning of April this year.
