The death sentence of a Baloch prisoner named Fazl Ahmad Ghafran, who was previously sentenced to death for drug-related crimes, was executed in Kerman Central Prison.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Sunday, June 18, 2023, the death sentence of a Baloch prisoner named Fazl Ahmad Ghafran, from Zahedan, married and the father of two children, was executed in Kerman prison.
Fazal Ahmed Ghafran was arrested four years ago and later sentenced to death by the Kerman Revolutionary Court on charges of drug-related crimes.
As of the time of this reporting, the news of the execution of this prisoner has not been announced in the government media, especially the media affiliated with the judiciary.
Based on the statistics registered in the Statistics and Documents Center of the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in May 2023, at least 142 prisoners were executed in Iranian prisons, of whom 31 were Baloch prisoners.
