In a somber development, the death sentence of Amir Hossein Dashtban, a 22-year-old resident of "Yengejeh" village in Azarshahr county, was carried out at the Tabriz Central Prison. At the time of committing the crime, Amir Hossein Dashtban was just 18 years and 6 months old.
According to a report obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, this execution took place at dawn on Thursday, October 26, 2023. Amir Hossein Dashtban had been arrested on May 4, 2020, on charges of premeditated murder, and subsequently, he received the death penalty. Remarkably, he was only 18 years, 6 months, and 21 days old when he committed the crime.
An informed source close to Amir Hossein Dashtban's family revealed that a burial ceremony was held for him on Thursday afternoon in his birthplace.
