Hengaw – Thursday, September 10, 2026

Iranian authorities secretly executed three prisoners, including a Baloch man, in Isfahan Central Prison (Dastgerd Prison). The three had been sentenced to death in separate cases on drug-related charges.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mohammad Yousef Issazahi (Rigi), Shahrokh Pouresmaeili, and Hossein Ghasemzadeh were executed at dawn on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Issazahi (Rigi), a 40-year-old Baloch man from Iranshahr, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, was married and the father of five children. He was arrested in Isfahan in 2022 on drug-related charges and subsequently sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court.

Pouresmaeili, 27, from Najafabad, Isfahan Province, was arrested three years ago on drug-related charges and later sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court.

Ghasemzadeh, 54, a father of three from Bandar Abbas, had been imprisoned for five years on similar drug-related charges.

Informed sources said prison authorities carried out the executions without prior notice to the prisoners’ families or lawyers and denied the three men a final visit with their relatives.

The executions have not been announced by state media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
