Rasoul Davari executed in Mashhad Central Prison
Hengaw – Saturday, September 12, 2026
Iranian authorities executed Seyed Rasoul Davari, a 53-year-old prisoner who had previously been sentenced to death on a charge of “premeditated murder,” in Mashhad Central Prison (Vakilabad Prison).
According to reports received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Davari, a father of three from Mashhad, was executed at dawn on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in Vakilabad Prison.
Informed sources said Davari had been arrested four years earlier on a charge of premeditated murder following an altercation involving a hunting rifle. The Iranian judiciary subsequently sentenced him to death under qisas (retribution-in-kind) laws.
The execution has not been announced by Iran’s state media or judiciary-affiliated outlets.
