The death penalty for a Baloch prisoner was implemented in Iranshahr prison. Considering this case, the number of executed Baloch prisoners in Iran's prisons has risen to 170 since the beginning of 2023.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Saturday, December 16, the death sentence of a 26-year-old prisoner identified as Mohsen Salarzehi from Zabol was carried out in Iranshahr central prison.
This prisoner was taken into custody in October 2021 and later sentenced to death under drug-related crimes by the Judicial System of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Citing the data collected by the Statistics and Documentation Center of the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at least 170 Baloch prisoners have been executed in Iran's prisons since the beginning of the current year.
