Kurdish Prisoner Executed in the Prisons of Iran

Faramarz Moradi, a Kurdish prisoner from the city of Salmas, was executed in Ardabil Central Prison today. He had been convicted of drug-related charges.
According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution of Faramarz Moradi, a resident of Herkian village in the Shepiran area of Salmas, took place in Ardabil Central Prison.
Informed sources state that Moradi was arrested four years ago on drug-related charges and subsequently sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
At the time of this report, there has been no announcement regarding the execution of Moradi in government media, particularly those associated with the judiciary.
