Four Kurdish prisoners Executed in Urmia prison, Iran

Four Kurdish Prisoners named Taher Abdolalipour, Hasan Arabi, Abdolah Hassanzadeh, and Hasan Chupani were executed in Urmia Central Prison.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Thursday, May 9, 2024, the death sentences of four prisoners named Hasan Chupani, 35 years old and from the village of Shahrestein in Piranshahr, Hasan Arabi, 40 years old, Taher Abdolalipour and Abdolah Hassanzadeh from the villages of "Anbi", "Yengejeh" and "Balanj" in Urmia, were carried out in Urmia Central Prison (Darya Prison).

Hengaw learned that Hossein Chupani was arrested 4 years ago, Abdallah Hassanzadeh and Taher Abdolalipour 5 years ago and Hasan Arabi 6 years ago and were sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The four prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement on May 7 to carry out their death sentences.

The news of the execution of these four prisoners has not been announced by the government media, especially the media close to the judiciary, until the time of writing this news.
