The burial of a Baha’í adherent, Nosratollah Ehsani, in the Baha’í cemetery of Tehran has been prevented by the relevant authorities.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, despite having a burial permit for Tehran's Golestan Javid cemetery, the authorities have obstructed the burial of Nosratollah Ehsani, a Baha’í adherent from Kashan.
Informed sources indicate that after being denied burial in Golestan Javid, Ehsani's body has been transferred to cold storage, leaving his family in a state of uncertainty.
In recent months, there have been multiple instances where the burial of Baha’í adherents in Golestan Javid has been blocked. Furthermore, without the families’ consent, officials from Behesht Zahra have buried some of these people in Khavaran cemetery, the site used for political dissidents executed during the 1980s purges.
