Execution of a Kurdish Prisoner in Shiraz

The execution of a Kurdish prisoner named Mojtaba Karami, a resident of Harsin, who had previously been sentenced to death for drug-related offenses, was carried out in Shiraz Central Prison.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, at dawn on Sunday, July 7, 2024, the death sentence of a 28-year-old prisoner identified as Mojtaba Karami, a resident of Harsin in Kermanshah province, was carried out in Shiraz Central Prison (Adelabad Prison).

According to informed sources, Mojtaba Karami was arrested four years ago and sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran for drug-related offenses.
