The Death Sentence of a Prisoner Carried Out in Parsilon Prison of Khorramabad

Earlier this week, the death sentence of a prisoner identified as Saeed Sepahvand, who was previously convicted of drug-related charges, was carried out at the central prison of Khorramabad. Meanwhile, the execution of another prisoner has been postponed.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Saturday, July 20, 2024, the death sentence of Saeed Sepahvand was carried out at Parsilon Prison (central prison) of Khorramabad), Lorestan province.

Saeed Sepahvand, a resident of Khorramabad, was previously arrested for drug-related charges and sentenced to death by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Khorramabad.

Simultaneously, another prisoner identified as Azim Amraei was transferred to solitary confinement, but according to Hengaw's sources, the execution of this prisoner has been postponed for three months.

To date, Saeed Sepahvand's execution has not been reported in the Iranian state media or those affiliated with the judiciary.
