Death Sentence of Three Prisoners Carried Out in Khorramabad Central Prison

The death penalty for at least three prisoners named Azim Emraei and Ardeshir Maleki and a prisoner with the last name "Farrokhnejad," who were previously sentenced to death for drug-related crimes, was carried out in Khorramabad Central Prison.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Saturday, July 27, 2024, the death sentence of Azim Emraei, 40 years old from Kuhdasht, Ardeshir Maleki, 45 years old from Aligudarz, and a prisoner with the last name "Farrokhnejad," 27 years old from Tehran, was carried out in Khorramabad Central Prison (Parsilon Prison).

According to Hengaw sources, these three prisoners had previously been sentenced to death for drug-related charges and were transferred to solitary confinement last Thursday for the execution of the sentence.

The news of the execution of these three prisoners has not been announced in government media, especially media close to the judiciary, at the time of writing this report.
