The death sentence of a prisoner named Naser Garavand (Garāvan), who had previously been sentenced to death for drug-related charges, was carried out in the Central Prison of Khorramabad.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Saturday, August 10, 2024, the death sentence of a prisoner named Naser Garavand, a resident of the Garāvan region in Kuhdasht County, was carried out in the Central Prison of Khorramabad (Parsilon Prison).

According to Hengaw's sources, Naser Garavand had been arrested several years ago and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary on drug-related charges.

To date, the news of this prisoner’s execution has not been announced by state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
