Death Sentence of Three Prisoners Carried Out in Shiraz

The death sentences of three prisoners—Yousef Kazemzadeh, Ali Salimi, and Haider Arab—were carried out in Shiraz Central Prison (Adel Abad). These individuals had been sentenced to death in separate cases on charges related to drug crimes and homicide.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions took place at dawn on Saturday, August 17, 2024.

The Iran Human Rights Organization reported that Ali Salimi and Yousef Kazemzadeh were arrested two and four years ago, respectively, on drug-related charges and were subsequently sentenced to death. Haider Arab was sentenced to death three years ago on charges of premeditated murder following a street brawl.

As of the time of writing, the executions of these prisoners have not been reported by government media, including outlets closely associated with the judiciary.
