Iran Executes Four Prisoners in Lakan Prison, Rasht

The death sentences of four prisoners, identified as Mostafa Amani, Nasrollah Pirasteh, Arman Ataei, and Ramin Poursefar, were recently carried out in Lakan Prison, Rasht. These individuals had been sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran on charges related to drug offenses and premeditated murder.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution of Ramin Poursefar, who was arrested three years ago on drug-related charges, took place on Tuesday, September 23, 2024, in Lakan Prison, Rasht.

In addition, according to the Iran Human Rights Organization, on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, the executions of Mostafa Amani and Nasrollah Pirasteh—both sentenced to death for premeditated murder in separate cases—along with Arman Ataei, who was sentenced to death on drug charges, were also carried out in the same prison.

As of the time of this report, these executions have not been publicly announced by state media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
