With the identification of two additional prisoners named Asad Khosravi and Rafi' Abdolbari, an Afghan national, the number of prisoners whose death sentences were carried out at Isfahan Central Prison on August 28, 2024, has reached four. Previously, Hengaw had reported on the execution of two other prisoners named Milad Alimohammadi and Emad Motvalian.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, the death sentences of Rafi' Abdolbari, a 33-year-old Afghan national who had previously been sentenced to death for “premeditated murder”, along with a prisoner from Khomeini Shahr, Isfahan, identified as Asad Khosravi, who had been sentenced to death three years ago for drug-related charges, were carried out in Dastgerd Prison, Isfahan.

Hengaw had previously reported that the death sentences of Milad Alimohammadi, 34, and Emad Motvalian, 25, two Lor-Bakhtiari and Turkish prisoners from the towns of Rezveh and Fereydan, subdivisions of Chadegan County, were carried out in Isfahan Central Prison (Dastgerd Prison).
