Death Sentence of a Prisoner Carried Out in Zanjan Central Prison

The death sentence of a prisoner named Mohammadreza Abbaszadeh, who had previously been sentenced to death for drug-related charges, was carried out in Zanjan Central Prison.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Saturday, 31 August 2024, the death sentence of a 30-year-old prisoner, identified as Mohammadreza Abbaszadeh, was carried out in Zanjan Central Prison.

Informed sources stated that this prisoner had been arrested two years ago on charges related to drug offenses and was subsequently sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
