Death Sentence of Prisoner Carried Out in Hamadan, Iran

The death sentence of Saber Jamali, a 29-year-old Kurdish prisoner from Kangavar, Kermanshah province has been carried out in Hamadan Central Prison.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution took place at dawn on September 1, 2024.

Saber Jamali had been arrested several years ago on charges of premeditated murder and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

As of the time of writing, the execution of Saber Jamali has not been reported in state media, including outlets closely associated with the judiciary.
