Iran Carries Out the Death Sentence of Two Prisoners in Karaj Central Prison

The death sentences of two prisoners named Akbar Azizi and Hamed Jahedi, who were previously sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary on charges related to drug offenses and premeditated murder, were carried out in Karaj Central Prison.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the morning of Thursday, September 19, 2024, the death sentences of Akbar Azizi and Hamed Jahedi were carried out in Karaj Central Prison.
According to informed sources, these two prisoners had previously been arrested in a joint case on charges related to drug offenses and premeditated murder and were sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
