Prisoner secretly executed in Birjand Central Prison

Mansour Hadadi, a Baloch prisoner sentenced to death on drug-related charges, was secretly executed without family notification in Birjand Central Prison, South Khorasan.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Hadadi, originally from Zabol in Sistan and Baluchistan, was executed early on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. 

Haalvsh news outlet reported that, he was moved to solitary confinement on the night of Monday, October 21, with the execution taking place the following morning, yet his family was not informed.

Hadadi had been arrested and sentenced to death on drug-related charges.

As of this report, the execution has not been covered by state-affiliated media, including judiciary-linked outlets.
