Report on the execution of a prisoner in Isfahan Central Prison

The death sentence of a prisoner identified as Hassan Saberi, who had previously been sentenced to death for drug-related charges, was carried out in the central prison of Isfahan, known as “Dastgerd.”
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, early in the morning of Monday, October 28, 2024, the death sentence of Hassan Saberi, a resident of Khorzuq, was carried out in Isfahan Central Prison (Dastgerd Prison). Saberi was previously sentenced to death for drug-related charges.
Informed sources stated that Hassan Saberi was arrested five years ago on charges of drug possession and trafficking and was subsequently sentenced to death.
To date, the news of the execution this prisoner has not been reported by Iranian state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
