Iran Executes Three Prisoners in Ilam Central Prison

The death sentences of three prisoners, identified as Nima Moradi, Nosratollah Mnati, and Mehdi Khorsan, have been carried out in Ilam Central Prison. These individuals had been previously sentenced to death on charges of "premeditated murder."
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions of Nima Moradi and Nosratollah Mnati, two Kurdish prisoners from Ilam, and Mehdi Khorsan, an Arab prisoner from Dasht Abbas, Dehloran, took place at dawn on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, in Ilam Central Prison.
A source informed Hengaw that Nima Moradi had been sentenced to death two years ago, while Nosratollah Mnati and Mehdi Khorsan had been sentenced more recently on separate charges of premeditated murder.
The source further revealed that another prisoner, Taleb Saif, from Dasht Abbas, Dehloran, who had been taken to the execution cell along with the three prisoners, was returned to his ward for the fifth time. He is also sentenced to death on murder charges.
As of the time of this report, the executions of these prisoners have not been announced by state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
