Death sentence of prisoner carried out in Shiraz Central Prison

The death sentence of Salman Aghaei, a prisoner from Mashhad who had previously been sentenced to death for drug-related charges, was carried out in Shiraz Central Prison (Adelabad).

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Saturday, October 22, 2024, the death sentence of 33-year-old Salman Aghaei, a father of one child, was carried out in Shiraz Central Prison.

Salman Aghaei was arrested three years ago on drug-related charges and was sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

To date, the news of the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by state media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
