Uncertainty surrounding the whereabouts of Yazdan Qanbari, a Yarsan adherent, following arrest in Kermanshah

Yazdan Qanbari, a 28-year-old Kurdish adherent of the Yarsan faith from Kermanshah, has been detained by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the past eighteen days, with his location currently unknown.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, agents from the Ministry of Intelligence apprehended Qanbari on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Despite persistent inquiries by his family, security agencies have not provided any information regarding his detention, the nature of the charges, or his current condition.
As of this report’s release, no additional details about the reasons for Qanbari’s detention have been disclosed, leaving his family in a state of deep concern for his safety and well-being.
