Security forces arrest two Yarsan adherents in Javanrud

Two Kurdish adherents of the Yarsan religion, identified as Arslan Fatahi and Saman Safari, have been arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Javanrud.
According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, Fatahi and Safari, both residents of Gahwareh, were arrested by security forces in Javanrud. A reliable source confirmed that their arrest was carried out by the IRGC Intelligence forces without the presentation of an arrest warrant.
The source further stated that Arslan Fatahi was released after a few hours in temporary detention, while Saman Safari remains in custody, with no information available regarding his whereabouts or condition.
As of the time of this report, no details have been provided about the reasons for their arrest or the charges brought against them.
