Two prisoners executed in the Hamedan and Nahavand Prisons

The death sentences of two prisoners, Yaser Jahanbani and Tahmas Kalani, who had been sentenced to death for drug-related charges and premeditated murder, were carried out in the prisons of Hamedan and Nahavand.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Sunday, March 16, 2025, the execution of Yaser Jahanbani was carried out in Hamedan Central Prison.
This prisoner, a resident of Hamedan, had previously been arrested on drug-related charges and sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Additionally, at dawn on Saturday, March 15, 2025, the death sentence of Tahmas Kalani was carried out in Nahavand Central Prison, a district of Hamedan province.
Tahmas Kalani, a resident of Nahavand, had been arrested on charges of premeditated murder and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
To date, news of the executions of these two prisoners has not been announced in state media, particularly in outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
