Newroz Celebrations in Kurdistan: 17-year-old Kurdish teenager Keyhan Tadberi arrested by security forces in Marivan

Keyhan Tadberi, a 17-year-old Kurdish boy from Marivan, was severely beaten and arrested after being summoned to the local Intelligence Department.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Saturday, March 22, 2025, Keyhan Tadberi, a teenager from the village of Ney, located in Marivan County, was summoned to the Intelligence Office, where he was violently beaten and taken into custody.
Sources say that his arrest is linked to the recent Newroz celebrations in Kurdistan. Efforts by his family to obtain information about his whereabouts and condition have so far been unsuccessful.
Hengaw has learned that Keyhan Tadberi was transferred to a security detention center in Sanandaj (Sine) following his arrest.
It is worth noting that in connection with the upcoming Newroz celebration scheduled for March 23, 2025, in the village of Ney, more than 200 residents have been summoned by the Intelligence Department in recent days. A significant number of them have refused to comply with the summons from the Intelligence Department.
As of the time of this report, no clear information is available regarding the reasons for his arrest, or the charges against him.
