Execution of Kurdish prisoner Morad Dalaei Milan carried out in Maku

The execution of Morad Dalaei Milan, a Kurdish prisoner from Chaldoran in West Azerbaijan (Urmia) Province, was carried out in Maku Central Prison. He had been sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary on charges related to drug offenses.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution took place at dawn on Monday, May 26, 2025. Dalaei Milan, a father of seven and a resident of the village of Masjedlu, near the city of Maku, had been arrested five years earlier.

Sources familiar with the case stated that he had been convicted of drug-related offenses and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary following his arrest. His execution was carried out without prior public notice.

The execution has not been announced by Iranian state media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary.
