Marziyeh Esmaeili executed in Qazvin Central Prison

The death sentence of Marziyeh Esmaeili, a Turkish woman and mother of one, was carried out at Qazvin Central Prison, also known as Choubindar. She had been convicted on drug-related charges.

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Marziyeh Esmaeili, 40, a native of Abhar in Zanjan Province, was executed in Qazvin Central Prison at dawn on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

Informed sources stated that she had been detained four years ago and sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran on drug-related charges.

The execution remained unreported by state media or those affiliated with the judiciary.
