Mehran Nasri Zar, a 30-year-old Kurdish prisoner from Sanandaj (Sine), was secretly executed at Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj.

According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution took place on Monday, May 12, 2025.

Nasri Zar had been convicted of premeditated murder and sentenced to death three years ago.

Authorities carried out the execution without informing his family or allowing a final visit.

The judiciary and state-affiliated media have not reported on the execution.
