Reza Miri executed in Ghezel Hesar Prison

The death sentence of Reza Miri, a 32-year-old Kurdish prisoner from Harsin, Kermanshah Province (Kermashan), was carried out in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj. Amiri had been convicted on charges related to drug offenses.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution took place at dawn on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
Miri was arrested four years ago on drug-related charges and was later sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary. On Saturday, May 10, 2025, he was transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for the execution.
No official announcement regarding Miri’s execution has been made by Iranian state media or judiciary-affiliated outlets.
