Mohammad Naeem Danesh secretly executed in Isfahan Central Prison

Mohammad Naeem Danesh, a 40-year-old Baloch prisoner from Iranshahr, was secretly executed in Isfahan Central Prison (Dastgerd), without being granted a final visit with his family.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution was carried out  at dawn on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

Danesh, a father of one from Ahmadabad village in Iranshahr, had been arrested seven years earlier on drug-related charges and was later sentenced to death by the judiciary of Islamic Republic of Iran. The execution was conducted in secrecy, and authorities did not inform his family in advance.

Haalvsh News reported that Danesh’s body was released from Isfahan morgue five days after the execution. His remains were then transferred to his hometown and buried on the sixth day following his death.

No state-run or judiciary-affiliated media outlets have acknowledged or reported his execution.
