Nahid Jokar executed in Adelabad Prison, Shiraz

The death sentence of Nahid Jokar, a 52-year-old woman from Shiraz, carried out in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz. She was convicted on drug-related charges.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, her execution took place on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at dawn.
Jokar had been arrested on drug-related charges and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
Hengaw previously reported that three other prisoners were also executed in Adelabad Prison on the same day: Abolfazl Alaei, a Turkish prisoner from Jolfa, and two Afghan nationals whose identities remain under investigation. All three had also been convicted on drug-related charges.
State media and judiciary-affiliated outlets have not announced the executions of these four individuals.
