Kurdish prisoner Safrali Keyfari executed in Kerman

The death sentence of a Kurdish prisoner, Safrali Keyfari from Kangavar, Kermanshah Province, was carried out in Kerman Central Prison. He had been convicted on drug-related charges.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Keyfari was executed at dawn on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in Kerman Central Prison.

Sources informed Hengaw that the prisoner had been arrested three years ago on drug-related charges and later sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

State media, including outlets affiliated with Iran’s judiciary, have not announced the execution.
