Ilam— Ali Saberi and Farhad Mahdipur executed in Central Prison

The death sentences of two Kurdish prisoners — Ali Saberi and Farhad Mahdipur — convicted on charges of “premeditated murder,” were carried out in Ilam Central Prison.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, 29-year-old Ali Saberi, from Ilam, was executed in Ilam Central Prison. Sources reported that he had been arrested three years earlier on murder charges and later sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

On Tuesday morning, September 23, 2025, Farhad Mahdipur, also convicted on murder charges, was executed in the same prison.

Iranian state media, including judiciary-affiliated outlets, have not acknowledged these executions.
