Iran executes three prisoners, including a woman, in Isfahan and Bam

The executions of three prisoners — Jeyran Zaheri, Mohammadreza Mohammadi-Berenjgani, and Aziz Ghorbanifar — were carried out in the prisons of Isfahan and Bam. They had been convicted in separate cases on charges of premeditated murder and drug-related offenses.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Monday, September 29, 2025, Zaheri and Mohammadi-Berenjgani, 29, from Isfahan, were executed in Isfahan Central Prison (Dastgerd). Zaheri had been arrested nine years earlier on charges of murdering her husband, while Mohammadi-Berenjgani had been arrested seven years ago on murder charges.

On Sunday, September 28, 2025, Aziz Ghorbanifar, 30, from the village of Khonak in Khefr district, Fars Province, was executed in Bam Central Prison, Kerman Province. He had been arrested several years earlier on drug-related charges and sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

These executions remain unacknowledged by Iranian state media, including judiciary-affiliated outlets.
