Kurdish prisoner Nour Mohammad Shamloo executed in Esfarayen Central Prison

The death sentence of Nour Mohammad Shamloo, a Kurdish prisoner previously convicted of premeditated murder, was carried out in Esfarayen Central Prison in North Khorasan Province.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution took place at dawn on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, in Esfarayen Central Prison.

Sources confirmed that Shamloo, a native of Esfarayen, had been arrested several years ago on murder charges and later sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

Iranian state media and judiciary-affiliated outlets have not announced the execution.
