Kerman Court sentences Baha’i adherent Shahram Fallah to 13 years in prison and one year of exile

Shahram Fallah, a 64-year-old Baha’i resident of Kerman, has been sentenced by the Iranian judiciary to a total of 13 years in prison and one year of exile.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Branch 1 of the Kerman Revolutionary Court sentenced Fallah to seven years and one day in prison on the charge of “educational and promotional activities contrary to Islam”, and to six years and one day in prison on the charge of “forming groups and associations.”
In addition, the court imposed a one-year exile order to Birjand, in South Khorasan Province, as a supplementary punishment.
Fallah was arrested on the evening of August 18, 2025, by intelligence agents at his home in Kerman and subsequently transferred to Kerman Prison.
During the arrest, security forces confiscated the mobile phones of his family members and guests, as well as several religious books and images belonging to the family.
Fallah has previously been targeted and prosecuted by the Iranian judiciary and security agencies for his religious beliefs and community activities.
