Baha'i adherent Arman Misaghian sentenced to two years in prison

Branch 29 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Seyed Ali Mazloum, sentenced Baha'i adherent Arman Misaghian to two years in prison and two years of deprivation of social and civil rights.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the court recently issued the verdict and formally served it on Misaghian. He received one year in prison on the charge of "propaganda against the state" and an additional one year for "insulting the Supreme Leader."
The Iranian judiciary has not disclosed any specific evidence or details regarding the conduct underlying these charges.
As an additional punishment, the court also barred Misaghian for two years from signing commercial and legally binding documents and from membership in political parties, groups, and social organizations.
