Taleb Hejrati-Pour executed in Sanandaj after ten years on death row

Taleb Hejrati-Pour, a 40-year-old Kurdish man from Marivan, was executed in Sanandaj (Sine) Central Prison after spending nearly ten years on death row. He had been convicted of “premeditated murder” by the Iranian judiciary.
According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution was carried out at dawn on Monday, October 6, 2025.
Hejrati-Pour had previously been transferred to solitary confinement for the implementation of his sentence but was later returned to the prison’s general ward.
The execution has not been announced by state-run media or judiciary-affiliated outlets in Iran.
