Woman prisoner Nahid Hemmati executed in Nahavand Central Prison

The execution of Nahid Hemmati, a woman imprisoned on drug-related charges, was carried out in Nahavand Central Prison, Hamadan Province.

According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the sentence was implemented at dawn on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Hemmati had previously been arrested on drug-related charges and sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

State-controlled media, including outlets affiliated with the judiciary, have not reported her execution.
