Two prisoners, including a woman, executed in Sari Central Prison

Authorities in Sari Central Prison have executed Qomri Abbaszadeh, a woman convicted of “premeditated murder,” and Iraj Aghaei, a man sentenced to death on “drug-related charges.”
Based on information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Abbaszadeh, 29, was executed in the early hours of Monday, November 17, 2025. According to informed sources, she had been arrested on a “murder” charge and later sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Aghaei, 30, from Rasht and residing in Sari, was executed at dawn on Thursday, November 13, 2025. He had been arrested nearly four years earlier on “drug-related charges” and subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary.
The executions of Abbaszadeh and Aghaei have not been reported by state-run media, particularly those affiliated with the judiciary.
