Qobad Olfati and Ali Karimi executed in Ilam and Kermanshah prisons

Two Kurdish prisoners, Qobad Olfati and Ali Karimi, have been executed in the prisons of Ilam and Kermanshah (Kermashan) after being convicted on charges of “premeditated murder.”

According to information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Olfati was executed on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in Ilam Central Prison. Sources stated that he had been arrested and convicted on a charge of “premeditated murder” by the Iranian judiciary before receiving the death sentence.

On the same day, Karimi, a Kurdish prisoner from Kermanshah, was executed in Dizelabad Prison in Kermanshah. Sources familiar with the case reported that he had also been arrested and later sentenced to death on a charge of “premeditated murder.”

The executions of these two prisoners have not been announced by state media, including outlets affiliated with Iran’s judiciary.
