Iran executes three Kurdish prisoners in Ilam and Esfarayen

The death sentences of three Kurdish prisoners, identified as Dariush Amini, Saman Moradi, and Hamed Yari, were carried out in the prisons of Ilam and Esfarayen. The three men had previously been convicted on charges of “premeditated murder” and drug-related offences.
Based on information obtained by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions of Amini, a resident of Dehloran, and Moradi, from Ilam, took place at dawn on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Ilam Central Prison.
According to informed sources, Amini had been arrested five years ago and Moradi two years ago, both on charges of “premeditated murder,” and were subsequently sentenced to death.
Yari, who had been arrested and sentenced to death on drug-related charges, was executed at dawn on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in Esfarayen Central Prison in North Khorasan Province.
The executions of these three prisoners have not been announced by state media, including outlets affiliated with Iran’s judiciary.
