Three Kurdish prisoners executed in Urmia Central Prison

Iranian authorities executed three Kurdish prisoners, Zabet al-Din (Adel) Jangjou Espidereh, Haji Nabizadeh and Abdolrahman Habibi, in Urmia Central Prison. The three had been convicted by the Iranian judiciary in separate drug-related cases.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions of Jangjou Espidereh, a resident of Salmas, and Nabizadeh and Habibi, both from Urmia, took place at dawn on Friday, November 14, 2025, in the city’s central prison.

Jangjou Espidereh had been arrested three years earlier on drug-related charges. Nabizadeh and Habibi had also been detained in separate cases on similar charges and were later sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

State media, including outlets close to the judiciary, had not published any information regarding the executions at the time this report was prepared.
