Ariyo Niazi Vahdat executed in Kermanshah prison

Iranian authorities have carried out the execution of a Kurdish prisoner, Ariyo Niazi Vahdat, in Dizelabad Prison, also known as Kermanshah Central Prison. He had previously been sentenced to death on charges of “premeditated murder.”

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Ariyo (Mojtaba) Niazi Vahdat, a resident of Kermanshah (Kermashan), was executed at dawn in Kermanshah Central Prison on Thursday, December 18, 2025.

Sources familiar with the case said that Niazi Vahdat had been arrested approximately two years ago on charges of “premeditated murder” and was later sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

State media, particularly outlets affiliated with the Iranian judiciary, have not officially announced the execution.
